    Magnetization strength degrades with heat, so after several hours of operation the relative strength of pulley type systems is reduced. The HUF-S is designed specifically to overcome these issues. HUF-S is a dry, self-cooled suspension type magnetic separator utilizing a patented hybridization method cooling system. Previously, oil-cooling and force air systems were implemented to reduce this heating effect. The HUF-S system avoids the pitfalls of oil-cooled systems or forced air-cooling systems and offers significant improvement over typical pulley systems. It uses a radiant cooling plate connected to the magnetization coil maintaining better than 80% strength versus 75% for force air and 63% for oil-cooled.

The 200 series general-purpose pulley separator can be configured with either vertical or horizontal poles and offer more flexibility in application. The 300 series is available with horizontal pole only and comes in larger sizes.

    Although standard models are made using Ba-ferrite, custom designs for high temperature using Sm-cobalt are available as well as high-intensity neodymium models producing up to 12,000 Gs.
